My GO TO Green Shake
2 pitted dates
1/2 banana (preferably frozen)
2 big handfuls of spinach or kale
1 cup of unsweetened vanilla almond milk (I use Califia Farms )
One scoop Vanilla Protein Powder (I use Sun Warrior classic blend – vanilla )
Lots of Cinnamon
3-5 Ice cubes
This shake has gotten me into one of those situations where I don't like to experiment with other shakes because I'm afraid I will miss this one. If you use a frozen 1/2 banana the texture of the shake is beyond. It's silky and creamy without going overboard on the milk which to me is too heavy after 1 cup. Don't be afraid of the cinnamon! Really pour it in. It's the shake maker and totally disguises the greens.
The shake can be too sweet if your protein powder is super potent and sweetened... if this is you use just 1 date and most definitely use an unsweetened milk.
